The tranquil property is nestled in the jungle, providing a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The spacious cabana, designed by the owner, offers a comfortable stay with beautiful artwork. The friendly and helpful staff, like Kristela in the dining room, ensure a pleasant experience. Additionally, the homemade meals, made with local ingredients, are delicious and served family-style, encouraging friendly interactions with other guests. The swimming pool offers a refreshing break from the Belize heat, and the nearby cafe provides tasty treats like smoothies and nachos.
The presence of caged animals on the property might be disheartening for some visitors.

The beautiful landscape and grounds were a highlight of our stay, with manicured paths and a variety of animals to enjoy. The pool was also a great feature, providing a nice place to relax and cool off. Additionally, the outstanding service from the staff stood out, with friendly and helpful team members who made us feel welcome throughout our weekend.
The rooms were a bit dated and could benefit from some updates. The decor and furniture felt old-fashioned, which didn't quite match the lovely surroundings.

Our stay at Banana Bank Lodge & Jungle Horseback Adventures was absolutely amazing. The meals were delicious with plenty of variety and tasty food. The horse rides, tailored to our preferences, were the best experiences we've had. The boat trip was a fantastic value, with a guided tour and the opportunity to see howler monkeys while tubing down the river. The owners, John and Carolyn, were friendly and treated us to a tour of their upcoming museum. The lodge itself had a beautiful pool and the presence of peacocks, jaguars, and monkeys was an added bonus. I highly recommend this hotel for a memorable Belizean experience.

The location was stunning, nestled in the jungle and surrounded by beautiful scenery. The swimming pool was a great spot to cool off and relax, especially in the Belize heat. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home. We also enjoyed the horseback riding and day tours that were available, providing a unique experience.
The property was quite far from the city, making it inconvenient if you didn't have a car. The extra taxes added on to everything, including food and tours, made the final bill much higher than expected.

Stayed here over Easter and had a great time! The rooms were unique and had a rustic charm. Loved the stained glass windows and the beautiful wood paneling. The staff was friendly and hospitable, and the family-style meals were a fun way to meet other guests. The food was delicious and plentiful, with a good variety of options. The location was perfect, nestled in the jungle with beautiful walkways and lush landscaping. And the best part was the horseback riding! The horses were well-trained and the trails were a lot of fun to explore. a unique and enjoyable experience.
The rooms were a bit dated and could use some updating. The WiFi reception was not great in some areas, which was a bit frustrating.

We stayed at Banana Bank as a launching pad for an excursion and were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful property. The photos don't do it justice. The staff were friendly and the rooms comfortable. The grounds are gorgeous, with howler monkeys providing a unique sound show at night. We loved learning about the jaguar rescue and enjoyed our horseback ride through the beautiful grounds. The owner even made us dinner when the kitchen was closed. Highly recommend!
Totally recommend this hotel.

Our group of friends had an amazing time at this beautiful lodge. The staff was outstanding, always eager to assist and share stories. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with air conditioning and Wi-Fi. The large pool was perfect for relaxing, and the rescued jaguar and exotic birds added a unique touch. The family-style breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of options. We also enjoyed the two-hour horseback ride through the gorgeous jungle, with well-trained horses. Truly a meaningful and unforgettable experience.
Although there were some repairs needed in certain areas of the building, the kindness of the staff more than made up for it.
